Fine art for a fine home.
My first painting of Dyer Pond and a recent painting “Thinking About Rome”, inspired by the ruins of Largo di Torre Argentina in Rome have a proud space among the many fine works of art in the home of a Maryland collector who has since become a dear friend. One of the most marvelous byproducts of making and sharing art is the opportunity to meet and connect with so many wonderful people along the way. There are few things more validating for this artist than to have someone appreciate my work enough to want to own it and see it everyday. It is the ultimate compliment. It is a treat to be able to see it again and in so gorgeous a setting.
“The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act.” -Marcel Duchamp
